WEEK 9

Talking Topic: Bring a photo to talk about

Maths: Totara & Matai will be cross grouping for Addition & Subtraction starting this week. Students have been placed in groups according to the Stage they are working at.I look forward to seeing how the new groupings of students over the two classes works.
House Folk Dance Competition: Friday 2pm (weather dependent) Students may bring clothes that represent their houses colour.

Thanks to the parents who offered their help for transporting us to the Park for Tuesday's trip. Yes I need you all. Not sure about the weather at this stage!!

Congratulations to all the students who led their Learning Conversations so ably- I am so proud of you!

This week are the Student Led conferences being held on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday. School finishes at 12.45pm on Tuesday and normal times for Wednesday & Thursday. Please bring your child with you to the interview as they will be leading the talking.
The hall is open this week for you to view the art that each class has being working on for the last two weeks. CHECK IT OUT!!

A big thankyou to those parents & grandparents that came to support Totara for their Friday Assembly. I was very proud of all the kids, they were awesome!

On Friday it is Totara's Assembly at 9.15am. Please come along to support your child.

Totara students came back to school ready to learn. Make sure your child has their bookbag with notebook and reading log everyday.

TERM 2 2016

Welcome back to a new term of fun and learning.

This blog will be updated every week for your information and to view learning that is happening in Totara.

Talking Topic: Bring something from your holiday to talk about

Last term students starting using the app Seesaw. You will be receiving a letter inviting you to view your child's journal.This type of reflection is still very new for Totara so hopefully you will see an improvement over time with the type of comments and reflective language your child is using.

Our Inquiry topic this term is 'Bridges'. If you have any pictures or resources on bridges send them along to school.

Bookbags & Notebooks- these two items need to be at school daily.

Totara students had fun co-constructing their rain catchers and a big thankyou for organising and sending the materials to school.
